Position Description:

 

Tired of the wacky weather? Come to Hawaii where the weather seldom changes from 80 degrees and sunny. ODCH, in Honolulu, Hawaii seeks an experienced Procurement Transplant Coordinator to help us cover the call schedule while some of our staff takes maternity leave. The PTC is responsible for the evaluation, allocation, and coordination of the surgical recovery of organs and tissues for transplant, as well as approaching families with their donation opportunity, and obtaining informed consent. We serve a population of 1.2 million, with 17 acute care hospitals, a single local transplant center, and average 25 cases a year. Competitive salary and benefits, relocation assistance. EOE.

 

Qualifications:

 

We require an RN, with 2 years critical care experience; experience as a Procurement Transplant Coordinator and CPTC strongly preferred. Strong public speaking and facilitation skills, excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving skills and the ability to multitask. Travel by personal auto to assignments, the ability to be contacted by pager and work outside normal business hours are required.
